Is it just me, or is there something magical about food that comes out of a food truck? Like sure, it’s not a complex dish normally coming out of the truck, but it’s always so good!

Now let’s rewind a bit and I’d like to tell you about a trip I took to Ft. Lauderdale a few years back for business. My coworkers took me to the Funky Buddha Brewery which was simply a bar serving their own brews with a mix of local brews. Now, did they serve food, you ask? No, they didn’t! They were just a beer bar straight up. However, out front was a delicious food truck serving up all types of Italian dishes. I went with the gnocchi and it didn’t disappoint.

Now, why do I tell you this story about a bar very far from here? Because this is the exact concept that will soon be joining us in downtown Alpharetta!

Truck & Tap has a local spot already in Woodstock and will soon take the place of the former Alpharetta Family Dentistry at 30 Milton Avenue. We haven’t been to the Woodstock location yet, but judging by their 4.5 rating on Yelp, we are more than excited to see them opening a new spot close to us.

We both definitely enjoy craft beer, and our love for food truck is probably bordering on unhealthy, so we can’t wait to check out Truck & Tap once open! There’s no word on an opening date yet other than “Mid-2017” but based on our walk by early this morning, it doesn’t seem much work has started yet on renovations, so I’ll go ahead and wager a late-to-mid 2017 opening date. We’ll of course keep you updated!
